On October 17, 2015 the City of Compton Block Club Commission hosted “Breakfast with the Mayor” to hear first hand the plans for the City of Compton, share their concerns, provide recommendations and learn how to get more involved. Many of the concerns shared by the block club members included graffiti hotspots, bulk dumping in residential areas and the lack of reliable communication from City Hall. Mayor Brown not only shared her plans on improving service issues throughout the City, but also charged the Compton City Block Clubs to take action and use there power to transform their communities.

The beautiful breakfast was organized by Block Club Commission President Gilda Blueford and was a great opportunity to meet and speak with Mayor Brown.
